Campbells Underglaze Brick RedOpaque Underglaze Slips conform to ASTM-D-4236 standards, are lead free, and NON-TOXIC. Opaque Underglaze Slips cover completely with vivid results, can be used on all clay bodies, and can be applied to green or bisque ware. They can be fired as low as cone 06 and some as high as cone 10. Pinks, purples, and maroons will fade at higher temperatures. Colors will vary in hue and intensity at higher temperatures. As usual, testing is recommended. For solid coverage, apply 2-3 heavy coats. For detail work and use as a wash, a single coat is sufficient.
