Black Walnut stands out in the clay industry as the only the only Manganese-free black clay on the market. Black Walnut is a smooth body but can function as both a throwing and sculptural body. When matured to cone 6, it has a nearly satin, dark chocolate look and feel. Since its release we have had trouble keeping it in stock!

Virginia Dogwood (cone 6-8)Like our state tree, this clay is a classic beauty. It contains no grog and is perfect for fine detail. Smooth and buttery, the texture is as luxurious as the pure white hue. Save this one for the end of a long day at the grist mill. Good for refined handbuilding or thrown on the wheel. At Cone 6: 12.5% Shrinkage, 1.41% Absorption. Looks best at Cone 6.

Shenandoah Limestone has an excellent throwability and glaze compatibility. With an elegant feel and lavish plasticity, this is a robust clay for the refined potter. 5% fine grog.
