Byrne Porcelain Slip is one of the finest. Very bright white and vitrified at cone 6. Once matured it has quite a bit of translucency and it glows warmly with light behind it. It pours wonderfully and we have received many compliments about this one! Sold in one gallon jars.

Byrne Red Earthenware SlipRED SLIP CONE 06..... This casting slip fires to a beautiful red terra cotta color. Ordinary 06 glazes will fit without crazing. Like all red slips, it takes somewhat longer to setup than the white slip. However, BYRNE'S RED SLIP is one of the finest on the market.

Byrne Stoneware SlipByrne's Stoneware Slip gives the ceramist true stoneware within the firing range of electric kilns. It is fired to a very hard and durable stoneware - midway between earthenware and porcelain. When fired to a cone 6 - it is vitreous - hence able to hold water without glazing. Byrne's Stoneware Slip has a wide firing range and may be taken as high as a cone 10.

Stoneware, because of its extreme hardness, will not chip or scratch easily. Hence, it is excellent for your outdoor pieces: fountains, planters, patio ornaments; as well as your indoor finished pieces: dinnerware, vases, mugs, ovenware, teapots, etc.

Byrne White Earthenware SlipByrne slip sets up fast, drains cleanly and quickly from molds and releases easily. It can be used for the heaviest of pieces or thinned down to pour the smallest, most delicate pieces.
At cone 06 , the shrinkage is approximately 2-1/2%.
