Virginia Dogwood (cone 6-8)Like our state tree, this clay is a classic beauty. It contains no grog and is perfect for fine detail. Smooth and buttery, the texture is as luxurious as the pure white hue. Save this one for the end of a long day at the grist mill. Good for refined handbuilding or thrown on the wheel. At Cone 6: 12.5% Shrinkage, 1.41% Absorption. Looks best at Cone 6.

Warm Brown Stoneware - cone - 4 - 6 price per lbs min 50A popular medium brown all-purpose fire clay body with no grog. Very plastic and smooth for the wheel thrower that wants to avoid grog but still wants a clay that will be forgiving. Similar in feel to our Red Brown Stoneware. At Cone 6: Shrinkage is 12%, Absorption less than 1%.
