Black Walnut stands out in the clay industry as the only the only Manganese-free black clay on the market. Black Walnut is a smooth body but can function as both a throwing and sculptural body. When matured to cone 6, it has a nearly satin, dark chocolate look and feel. Since its release we have had trouble keeping it in stock!

Reddish Knob: Reddish KnobOur blend of domestic, high iron fire clays, 5% fine grog and mullite makes Reddish Knob a superior throwing body that fires to a toasty red-orange in oxidation and a rich chestnut in reduction. This clay will definitely "get noticed" for those who fire cone 9-10 gas reduction thanks to wonderful silvery iron deposits on the surface!

Virginia Dogwood (cone 6-8)Like our state tree, this clay is a classic beauty. It contains no grog and is perfect for fine detail. Smooth and buttery, the texture is as luxurious as the pure white hue. Save this one for the end of a long day at the grist mill. Good for refined handbuilding or thrown on the wheel. At Cone 6: 12.5% Shrinkage, 1.41% Absorption. Looks best at Cone 6.
