Frits

Frit 111 is a very popular frit. It is a lime and high boron source in partially fritted glazes, lead bisilicate glazes and low cost hobby glazes cone 06-10. A high expansion frit that has no alumina.

Used for lowfire glazes. Contains lead.

Gerstley Borate Substitute (H&G)A calcium borate compound. Also known as Gillespie Borate. It is used as a low fire flux.
